Rurapp Inc is founded and managed  by ICT, rural trade and farmer experts who have digitally transformed the available capacity for rural farm trade in terms of  quality, efficiency, scalability, accuracy and multi stakeholder collaboration. Rurapp can be deployed into any agricultural or natural product value chain worldwide.

The technology behind RurApp is key to the value proposition and success in the industry. Extensive market research has identified that solutions without flexible scalable technology in this industry is a point of failure for a sustainable business. Since the ideal candidates for this multi-solution platform are in rural areas there is additional challenge of environmentals. The solutions have to be mindful and tolerant to power instabilities, extreme weather including humidity, mistreatment and network limitations.

The main areas that represent the technology behind  RurApp are:

  1. Primary Components: This represents the cloud based software components of RurApp. The intelligence behind this is derived from the Godder Toolkit but has had large amount of customization and integration with other developed components both open source and in house developed. Further information is below.
  2. RurApp Partner Integration: Since we are a service provider it’s very important that we integrate transparently with out trade partners. This will allow us to exchange data to share information and for automation of services. These connections or integration methods need to be both flexible and secure. Technically we use SIP for voice, presence and communication. Data integration via SFTP, HTTPS, PHP over SSH and other best practices. Our alerts and notification also integrate with our partner preferred platforms. Either way is has been designed to integrate seamlessly with our partners back-end systems.
  3. Logistics hardware Solutions: Custom logistic equipment needed to be designed and manufactured to handle the conditions in rural areas and yet handle the new generation solutions. Such equipment is designed to be at distribution and drop of points. Our most popular product is the RurApp platform scale. The scale is able to weigh products quickly and accurately and then share the information via various communication methods. Additional add-ons are QR readers/printers, solar panels, and touch screens. All the equipment is available through different agreements and regional relationships.
  4. RurApp Member: The RurApp member could be a farmer, trader or partner. The system is designed to be able to communicate with the farmer via their chosen method/s of communication. It can be customized so that more time sensitive information can contact the member via a phone call while general logistics information is exchanged via SMS. The RurApp social network is a technical cornerstone to the community with members having QR based membership cards.
